In honor of Mental Health Month, MHAOK is offering two community QPR (suicide prevention) trainings

Welcome to May is Mental Health Month! In honor of 31 days dedicated to mental health education and destigmatization, Mental Health Association Oklahoma is hosting a free Question Persuade Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training for the community.

QPR is a nationally recognized, evidence-based suicide prevention training for lay people. Its purpose is to save lives by providing quality education that empowers all individuals, regardless of their background, to intervene during a mental health crisis so the individual in need can access professional care. Think “CPR for the brain!”

The first session will take place in-person at Legacy Plaza from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 20th. Space is limited and registration is encouraged. Click here to reserve your spot.

The second session will take place virtually from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st. Spots are limited, and pre-registration is REQUIRED. If you would like to attend the virtual session, please click here to register by 12 p.m. on Monday, May 20th. This session will fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early.
