A Better Way in Tulsa was made possible through a collaboration between the City of Tulsa, the Hille Foundation, Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (TARE), Mental Health Association Oklahoma, and the Maxine and Jack Zarrow Family Foundation,.
How It Works
A Better Way in Tulsa offers change by:
- Offering an alternative to panhandling for people experiencing homelessness.
- Paying participants a full day’s wages to beautify our community each day.
- Connecting participants with life-changing services in the community such as mental health services and addiction treatment, housing and other sustainable employment services.
When Does it Operate?
The A Better Way van is in operation three days a week in Tulsa. Participants can call 918-518-1134 in Tulsa to sign up to participate with A Better Way program.
