Carrie Blumert, Chief Executive Officer
Carrie Blumert currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Mental Health Association Oklahoma (MHAOK), the state’s premiere, boots-on-the-ground nonprofit serving Oklahomans primarily at the intersection of mental illness and homelessness. She has a passion for ensuring everyone living with mental illness and addiction has access to affordable treatment, safe housing, and a supportive community.
Prior to her time at MHAOK, Carrie was elected to serve as Oklahoma County Commissioner representing District 1 from 2018 – 2024. She was the youngest female county commissioner elected in state history. Before serving as County Commissioner, she worked for the Oklahoma City County Health Department managing community partnerships and community engagement. Currently, Carrie serves on the boards Oklahoma Humane Society and Teach for America Tulsa. She holds a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Services from Oklahoma State. She is a Fulcrum Fellow with the Center for Community Investment, a member of Leadership Oklahoma City Class 38, and a member of Tulsa Downtown Rotary Club.
