Yesterday representatives from Bank of America, Just the Beginning and MHAOK gathered on the first floor of the Legacy East Tower to celebrate the positive impact that partnerships have on the community.
Maria Morris, owner and founder of Carabelle’s Legacy, spoke about her struggles with addiction, the tragic loss of her twenty-two-month-old daughter and how two agencies’ – Mental Health Association Oklahoma and Just the Beginning – willingness to take a chance on her motivated her to pivot toward a sustainable life in which she now thrives.
Tim Stanley, Tulsa World Staff Writer, covered the story here.
Note: Bank of America’s Charitable Giving Philanthropic Strategy funded the coffee cart referenced in the article and continues to support various MHAOK programs, which help make stories like these possible.
