Piedmont’s QPR Suicide Prevention Training
Piedmont, Oklahoma has had an average of five suicide incidents, attempts and successes per year for the past four years. One suicide is too many.
Join us for a free, life-saving suicide prevention training where you will learn how to Ask a Question and Save a Life.
Just like learning CPR, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is an important tool to have in your tool belt. On average in Oklahoma, a person dies by suicide every eleven hours. For every person who dies, 100-200 more will make an attempt. Knowing what to look for and how to connect someone to help may save the life of a family member, friend or co-worker.
QPR is appropriate for anyone 18 or older who would like to learn how they can offer hope and play a role in suicide prevention.
You can learn more about QPR at mhaok.org/qpr
