Suicide Prevention

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

Free Monthly QPR Training in Tulsa!

Our monthly QPR training is every fourth Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Association’s main office in Tulsa, 1870 S. Boulder Avenue. The QPR training, which lasts about one hour, will help you detect the warning signs of suicide and empower you to ask this powerful question: “Are you thinking about killing yourself?” It will also give you the tools needed to help you walk alongside someone you care about as they get connected to services in your community.

You may call 918.585.1213 or 405.943.3700 to schedule a QPR training for your business, school, faith community or civic organization.
