Outreach and Prevention Services

Outreach & Prevention Services is focused on empowering both enhanced safety and enhanced connection by increasing awareness of mental health among people of all ages. Programs include school- and community-based mental health information, education, screening and referral programs focused on reducing the impact of mental illness, addiction, suicide, violence and trauma on families and communities.

Prevention means moving upstream from a potential mental health crisis. Diffusing a problem and helping individuals or families connect with resources can offer relief and hope. Exploring options for support and services helps people build strength and resilience. This is at the heart of our work.

Our Outreach and Prevention Services department enhances mental health and well-being of people of all ages through an array of strength-based initiatives designed to promote wellness, prevent suicide and connecting those with a need to appropriate community-based care.
